The parents of 86 Rroma Children boycott school, to protest against attempts to segregate them from Slovenian children. The Issue arose about a month ago in the community of Novo Mesto, when non-Rroma parents complained that Rroma children were bullying other children at school. Upon this protest, the Slovenian administration suggested segregating Rroma after mediation attempts failed. Some 400 Slovenian parents have by now signed a petition requesting Rroma children to be spread to other schools in town.
