Shpresa Agushi, a Rromni from Kosovo received the 2007 prize "Freiheit und Menschenrechte" (Freedom and Human Rights) of the Foundation for Freedom and Human Rights in Bern for her work as a Rroma and human right activist in Kosovo. This price, given out every two years has seen laureates as diverse as the Dalai Lama, Chechen activists and so on.
