Today, Vania de Gila Kochanovski, a Rrom activist, antropologue, writer and linguist died.
Born in Latvia, his life brought him to France shortly after World War Two, as a displaced person, and it is there that he eventually settled. Always interested in his cultural heritage, he published numerous research papers and books.
